Lets face it Apple for all their faults and flaws do some pretty cool stuff. If you’ve ever see Expose on the mac you just know what I mean. Its a simple feature, hit a button and hide, or shrink your windws creating miniature live windows of all open applications.

Now I was looking over the shoulder of a co worker the other day and he said.. ‘have you seen this… this is cool..’ and I thought, thats just like Expose, but not quite, if only someone would write expose for windows.. well Nipaco in New Zealand has created a similar application for Windows called (rather oddly) Entbloess, and its pretty much expose for windows..

Entbloess is pretty cool, since I always have a very busy desktop it lets me shrink and clear and hide all my applications. My only real issue is that it doesnt like my multi screen setup on my tabletpc, but this may be an issue with the rather dodgy video drivers on the fujitsu.

You can see from the image that it shrinks the desktop just like expose, and hovering over a image shows you the task name.. Its pretty quick even on my aging fujitsu, and I almost love it… but it will definately rock on the new Toshiba..

In addition to performing this core ‘cool’ function, Entbloess also lets you perform window commands while a window is highlighted. This feature allows you to close the highlighted window by pressing Q or F4, or minimize it by pressing M. You can also cycle though windows using PgUp and PgDn after invoking the Entbloess screen.

If you suffer Mac envy or just need a way to switch tasks with a lot visual information, this is a great tool and well worth a test drive on your system.
