I ran across your blog the other day when trying to find out what the dates for International Magic convention were last year, and saw you mention that you had your copy of The Mind and Magic of David Berglas with you in order to get it signed.

I'm the Finnish guy who ambushed you when I saw the book in your hand. :) Just wanted to say hi -- so, hi!

PS. I now have my own copy, though I did end up paying an arm and a leg for it.

Hi Andrew,

I noticed in your blog that you are a IBM Certified SOA Solution Designer and that you work for IBM in the UK. You obviously love writing and you are clearly pretty good at it. In light of this I just wondered if you would like to write a brief case study about your role as a solutions designer? I am a careers adviser at the University of Derby and I have been tasked to update the Graduate Occupational Profile for 'Systems Designer'. Its pretty much completed now but I do need a new case study which casts some light on how a new graduate might progress in to a role such as yours.

Take a look at the current profile case studies and if you would like to write something brief it will immortalise you on the Graduate Prospects website:
http://www.prospects.ac.uk/cms/ShowPage/Home_page/Explore_types_of_jobs/Types_of_Job/p!eipaL?state=showocc&idno=435&pageno=8
It would be great if you could help out or if you know of someone who could help.
Please email me if you have any questions.
Cheers
