I had some nice kudos in my inbox today, given the last day of stress it was more than welcome.
Just a quick note to recognize an outstanding piece of work by last week. Having previously achieved in one afternoon on DataStage what they had taken 6 weeks to achieve without, Andrew then did a live Proof Of Concept, with no preperation, in front of the customer. The Proof Of Concept was some of the most complex work we have ever done with the product according to the SE team, and Andrew successfully completed the tasks, ahead of schedule. This is a perfect example of the need for, and impact of, EXCELLENCE from our SE team. Without this SE desire for excellence, our ability to continue our growth will be severely hampered. So the message is clear

I had a brain wave of something to try on the way home from work.. I loaded a previous version onto the Netgear access point, then put the latest one on it..
I’m guessing something got screwed since as soon as I did that and reconfigured with the same settings as before it all burst into life again..
We have a nice steady green light on the AirTunes box again….
Its still getting replaced with the NetGear WG602 though…

It seems of our four hedgehogs, picasso (named for the white patches on his spines that make it look like hes had paint dripped on him!) has become our most regular visitor.

He didnt turn up last night, but we always have at least one hedgehog eating the food and water we put out. They turn up at 9pm dead and come back throughout the night to feed, and we always find an empty plate in the morning..

While I was backing up the mac the other night I found some old folder on the linux box with some projects I did a while ago.
I did some work with a friend of mine under a name of Mobius Codeworks, we did some development work on the Sony Playstation about 3 years ago.
We produced only 2 major projects, a game called Z2, and a small demo called ’second offence’. We had a pretty unique idea idea that we’d named ‘bomba dang’ which centered round a virtual world that you controlled and interacted with, we woudl have sold advertising space in the virtual world centred round the players interests..
I was wholly responsible for graphics and music… we even got a mention from Sony UK saying the sound FX on the game were ‘polished and absolutely fitting to such a polished project’

Well Finally I’ve managed to do it…
I’ve reach full geek status in interfacing my mobile phone with my blog..
Meaning I can now blog photos and text from my T610 directly into my blog..
.jpg)
Admittedly the quality of the camera on the phone is suspect.. but you cant have everything! There are also a few little ‘bugglets’ with the interface but we’ll iron those out..
Its also notthe most advacned system in the world, but it fulfills my needs, a Friend of ours runs PHLOG.NET a fantastic Photoblogging site that started as a tiny project, and now really has a vast user base (nice one al!), It allows you in the same way to email photos from your phone directly to the site and have them put onto your ‘phblog’
The only downside of Phlog.net is I’d like my phblog here, and not over there… still its a great system! You can check out Al’s own PhLog, or Jim’s, another friend of ours. or even my own little used Phlog..

Well spent the day patching and reconfiging the server, so we should be safe form the evil spammers again…
although looking at my spambox on my mailserver today, I did wonder how and why I seem to get so much spam in my inbox..
Luckly we’re running SpamAssassin on our mail server so that filters out most of the junk
There does seem to be a new wave of spam that is activity trying to fool you into opening it.. such as the one I got from autoship@amazon.co.uk saying that my order had shipped from the headers it looked really like it came from amazon, however seems that it was full of porn!
